Schools & Education
There are several excellent educational opportunities in San Jose. Here is a listing of some of the colleges and universities available here.
- San Jose State University: This is touted as the oldest college in the California State University system. It’s an urban campus with some 30,000 students. With the proximity to Silicon Valley, this school boasts that it has more graduates working in Silicon Valley than any other university.
- Silicon Valley College: This campus offers degrees in the technology field to help produce an ample workforce for the industries in Silicon Valley. Bachelor and Associate’s Degrees are available.
- National Hispanic University: This school focuses on the educational needs of Hispanic students. It’s a small campus with an enrollment of less than 1,000. Degrees include Bachelor, Associate and Teaching Certifications.
- Lincoln Law School of San Jose: The Silicone Valley once again directs the needs of schools in the area with this university that offers law degrees. Many courses are designed with the working professional in mind.
- Evergreen Valley College: This is the place for continuing education programs, or a starting place for those who want to seek an Associate’s Degree then transfer to a four-year college.
- San Jose City College: Another of the city’s community colleges, this is often a starting place or the choice of those looking for Associate’s Degrees.
- Golden Gate University: This is the campus of choice for those seeking business degrees, including Masters Degrees.
