Employment
Technology is arguably the area’s largest employer with some two dozen companies that have more than 1,000 employees. Some of the big names are easily recognized, including eBay and Adobe. The Santa Clara County Government and the City of San Jose are also large employers, as is the local education system. There are several colleges and universities in the area, as well as an extensive public and private education system.
